Thetis at Bionova 2005

Thetis will be at Bionova 2005 to be held from 20th to 22nd April 2005 at PadovaFiere, with its own stand in the area reserved for the Regione Veneto (Regional Office of Veneto). The event has been organised by PadovaFiere SpA, CNBB, Assobiotec, and Farmindustria, with both the participation and involvement of the EU. It provides an excellent opportunity for making technological, scientific and economic–financial comparisons and covers five large exhibition areas, i.e. chemical-pharmaceutical, diagnostics, the environment, agroindustrial, and bioengineering.
Thetis aggiorna le stime di carico di sostanze nutrienti in laguna dal centro storico e isole minori

Sul numero di marzo della rivista “Acqua & Aria” è uscito un articolo scientifico che aggiorna le stime di carico inquinante sversato in laguna da parte del centro storico di Venezia e dalle isole minori (C. Castellani, A. Barbanti, G. Colombini - “Il carico di nutrienti scaricato da Venezia alla laguna”).
Thetis to be at the international PRIMO congress (19th - 22nd June 2005)

Thetis will take part at the 13th international PRIMO - Pollutant Responses Marine Organisms - congress to be held in Alessandria from 19th-22nd June 2005, in order to present a report entitled “The grass goby Zosterisessor ophiocephalus an ecological risk assessment of Venice lagoon: working towards an integrated eco-toxicological approach”.
Said report has been drawn up by Cristina Nasci, Elisa Volpato, Daniela M. Pampanin (ISMAR-CNR-VE), Chiara Castellani, Andrea Berton, Eugenia Delaney (Thetis Spa) and Luisa Da Ros (CNR-ISMAR VE).
Some of the results achieved during the first two years of the C Line of the ICSEL project drawn up by the Consorzio Venezia Nuova - Magistrato alle Acque di Venezia (New Venice Consortium - Venice Water Authority) will be presented.
The “go” fish, found in different parts of Venice lagoon and to which a complete set of biomarkers was applied, was used as “sentinel” organisms in order to make an initial assessment of the ecological risk linked to exposure to the pollution of the lagoon.
Thetis at "Progetto Città 2005" to present the ITS - TAP project for Beijing

Thetis will be at “Progetto Città - the Exhibition of Architecture, Urban Planning, Territorial Development Technologies and Services” to be held at the Milan Trade Fair in Pavilions 1-3 from 30th March to 2nd April 2005, 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m..
The exhibition, now in its third year, is an important national and European event for the global development of metropolises and territories. Culturally and politically it provides a unique opportunity to examine issues and problems linked to the development of both cities and metropolises. Said issues include supplying and managing utilities; infrastructures; mobility and the environment; city furnishings; public parks and gardens; sport; construction methods and innovative technologies.
Thetis to use the services offered by the scientific library at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice

Following an agreement drawn up between the Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico di Venezia (VEGA - Venice Gateway for Science and Technology) and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Thetis SpA, together with a number of other companies, is now able to utilise the services offered by the university’s scientific library. Thetis SpA’s “knowledge management” office which promotes the exchange of scientific knowledge organised this.
