“Italian Investments in China”: Thetis discusses its experience at a training course
As part of the “Italian Investments in China” training course, organized by the Veneto Foreign Trade Centre in collaboration with the Ca' Foscari University in Venice by mandate of the Comitato Expo Venezia (Expo Venice Committee) of which Thetis is a signatory partner, Thetis will present its experiences in China with respect to the environment and transport sectors.
The course will be held at the Confindustria premises in the VEGA Science Park on Via della Pila 19, Marghera, Venice.
An afternoon featuring speakers from Thetis – International Developments Manager Marino Mazzon and Manager of the Environmental and Land Engineering Division Andrea Barbanti – is scheduled for Tuesday, 16 February, 2010, at 14:30. The following specific topics will be discussed:
• The institutional framework: Italian-Chinese cooperation in the environmental sector and related opportunities;
• The redevelopment of Chongming Island in Shanghai: an example of sustainable land management;
• Sustainable mobility in Beijing: traffic and air quality management technologies.

The course was designed primarily as an opportunity for sharing knowledge and making it available to entrepreneurs who intend to initiate or strengthen business with the Asian giant. An additional objective is to support the promotion of Veneto’s economy when Venice participates at the Shanghai EXPO, for which conferences and trade missions for businesses in the Triveneto region will be organized.
