Thetis to host the “Thinking Green, Building LEED” conference on 14 October 2010

On Thursday 14 October 2010, from 10:30 to 17:00, Thetis will host an important international conference entitled “Thinking Green, Building LEED: The Veneto sustainability model, from local tradition to LEED protocol” at its headquarters in the Venice Arsenal (Lamierini Building).

The conference was organized by Green Building Council Italia, which Thetis joined in early 2010, and will form part of the  Culture Nature exhibition, a collateral event of the 12th International Architecture Exhibition – Venice Biennale.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, developed in the United States and currently in use throughout the world, can be obtained for various types of buildings, from large commercial headquarters to small housing units, and more (a version for historic buildings is currently being developed).
The event on 14 October provides the perfect opportunity to learn more about the LEED protocol and sustainable building principles in general.
Journalist Donatella Bollani, editor of the Gruppo Sole 24 Ore publication Arketipo, will lead the conference. Distinguished representatives from companies and institutions (including the U.S. Consulate) are expected to attend.

PARTICIPATION IS FREE, BUT PRIOR REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
