Focus on: Carso 2014 Project
On 22 November Thetis, in a temporary joint venture with architects Burgi and Alonzi, Studio Glass and Laut Engineering, obtained the commission to develop the final plans for the first phase of the Carso 2014+ Project.
The planned work includes the renovation of the existing Monte San Michele Museum (which has the highest concentration of artefacts from the Great War in the Karst region), the organization and arrangement of exhibition areas for the attached galleries and the open air museum routes, the environmental improvement of the Doberdò-Castellazzo scenic viewpoint and the Redipuglia War Memorial, and the improvement of the trails that connect the various sites.
Thetis is responsible for the structural and building services aspects of the project. Specifically, the company will focus on minimizing electricity consumption and drafting documents relating to safety and the cost of the work.
