Thetis - knowledge for a better environment

During the first European Green City Forum, taking place on 4-6 June in Milan and part of the International Environment Festival, Thetis will manage and be responsible for the content of one of the eight “portals” for the Green Rays initiative.The Thetis portal faces east (towards Veneto) on Corso Concordia; it will be open from 4-6 June, 8:00-20:00. The Green Rays initiative, a complementary event to the Forum, will be held in various locations throughout the city of Milan. Eight bamboo “portals” designed to increase awareness of the good urban sustainability practices promoted by Green City will be set up in the Cerchia dei Bastioni, at the intersections of the eight Green Rays. These Green Rays, which radiate outwards from the centre of Milan, are part of the environmental strategy detailed in Milan’s PGT (regional planning report) for EXPO 2015. The project is coordinated by Riccardo Hofmann and made possible with the assistance of contacts generated through Spazio Thetis, particularly Studio Land – this group, headed by Kipar, is curating “Culture Nature”, a collateral exhibition for the Biennale that Spazio Thetis is hosting.
