Thetis to participate in Rio Bright Green Cities to promote the green economy

Thetis has participated in Rio Bright Green Cities 2011, an event that has taken place in Rio de Janeiro from 31 May to 3 June.

Organized by EUBRA (the Euro-Brazilian Sustainable Development Council) with the support of the Government of Rio, the event briought together producers, users and financers in a single place to stimulate greater innovation in Brazil’s green economy sector.
As part of the environmental collaboration operating agreement with the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade is organizing the participation of Italian businesses in this event, with the objective of promoting investment in the environmental technologies and infrastructure sectors.
Italy’s experience in this field will be presented on Thursday, 2 June, in a series of six thematic sessions that are collectively entitled “Greening the Future: the Italian Way”. Gherardo la Francesca, the Italian Ambassador to Brazil, and Corrado Clini, the Director General of the Italian Ministry of the Environment, introduced these sessions.
Marino Mazzon (Thetis) was scheduled to speak during the first session, which focuses on Sustainable Urban Planning and Management. Giovanni Cecconi (Consorzio Venezia Nuova) spoke during the session on Environmental Remediation of Marshes and Lagoons in the Urban Context.
