Thetis at "Progetto Città 2005" to present the ITS - TAP project for Beijing
Thetis will be at “Progetto Città - the Exhibition of Architecture, Urban Planning, Territorial Development Technologies and Services” to be held at the Milan Trade Fair in Pavilions 1-3 from 30th March to 2nd April 2005, 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m..
The exhibition, now in its third year, is an important national and European event for the global development of metropolises and territories. Culturally and politically it provides a unique opportunity to examine issues and problems linked to the development of both cities and metropolises. Said issues include supplying and managing utilities; infrastructures; mobility and the environment; city furnishings; public parks and gardens; sport; construction methods and innovative technologies.
“Progetto città 2005” includes a description of the Programma di Cooperazione Ambientale Italia-Cina (Italy-China Environmental Cooperation Programme) managed by the Italian Ministry of the Environment. Said programme develops pilot projects and feasibility studies for protecting and preserving natural resources. Work is carried out within the sectors of energy efficiency, the promotion of renewable sources, technologies, low emission transportation systems, “sustainable” agriculture and environmental training. During this event, Thetis will present the ITS-TAP (Intelligent Transport Systems for Traffic Air Pollution) for Beijing. This intelligent system aims to reduce pollution by means of the optimised management of traffic and public transport in the city of Beijing.
