Thetis at SEP POLLUTION 2006

SEP POLLUTION, the two-yearly eco-technologies exhibition, was held in Padua on 16th and 17th March 2006. The 16th concentrated on water monitoring, and Rita Lo Re from Thetis S.p.A.’s Environmental Studies and Analysis Division, in collaboration with ECOTOX S.r.L., illustrated the use of eco-toxicological tests within the environmental sphere.
The report provided the opportunity to explain the work carried out by the Environmental Laboratory, the technical skills which have been developed and experience built up within the sphere of a number of projects, some of which are international.

The Environmental Laboratory carries SINAL credit no. 0366 for carrying out eco-toxicity tests using bioluminescent bacteria, Dunaliell t. a unicellular alga, Corophium amphipods and Paracentrotus l. Echinoderms. It is the first Italian laboratory to be granted credit for the latter three tests.

The work and proposals of the Environmental Laboratory within the sphere of eco-toxicology were illustrated to an audience of companies operating within the sector of measuring wastewaters destined for human consumption.
