Thetis Receives BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification
Thetis has successfully passed the audit to obtain BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification, which certifies Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
This important certification places the company at the forefront in terms of Occupational Health and Safety matters, as it verifies the voluntary adoption of a system that ensures that compulsory regulations are respected and appropriate controls exist within the company itself.
The objectives of the OHSAS regulations are:
1. To facilitate compliance with laws and company procedures pertaining to occupational health and safety.
2. To reduce the direct and indirect costs of accidents and mishaps, as well as the human and social costs of work-related illnesses.
3. To integrate prevention policies into production/corporate policies.
4. To monitor activities by using measurable standards.
5. To enhance the corporate image.
6. To promote an awareness of safety in all sectors of the company.
Obtaining this certification was the primary objective of the QUAS Division, which coordinated and managed the necessary activities. This was achieved thanks to the cooperation of all of the company’s personnel.
