Groupama 3, Franck Cammas’ large trimaran, left the French port of Lorient on 11 February and is currently making a 13,000 mile journey around the Mediterranean Sea. .
The press conference, organized by Groupama in collaboration with Vento di Venezia and Thetis, represents an important event in the world of sailing. It is anticipated that the press conference, moderated by journalists Emilio Martinelli and Diederik Bangert, will include speeches by such illustrious “men of the sea” as skippers Soldini and Ricci. The trimaran will remain at the Arsenal until 20 April. Grupama 3 is 31.50 m long, 22.50 m wide, has a 5.70 m draught, a 41 m mast and weighs 18 tonnes.
