Thetis to Participate in the 8th China International Gallery Exposition
Thetis will have a stand at CIGE 2010 in Beijing from 24 to 27 November 2010. The objective of CIGE is to foster communication and cooperation between China and other countries committed to developing green industry and a green economy in response to climate change.
CIGE, the most important event dedicated to these fields, seeks to make an international contribution to disseminating and promoting awareness of scientific knowledge relating to climate change through the support of the government. In addition, the event assumes even greater importance this year as it is taking place just before the world summit in Mexico. The exposition was approved by the Chinese Council of State and is being sponsored by the following Chinese institutions: • Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, • The Chinese Communist Party’s Office of Propaganda, • The National Commission for Development and Reform, • Ministry of Education, • Ministry of Science and Technology, • Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, • Ministry of Finance, • Ministry of Environmental Protection, • Ministry of Urban Development and Construction, • Ministry of Transport, • National Intellectual Property Office, • Chinese Academy of Science.
The event is a showcase for the latest developments in China’s green economy, highlighting the sector’s best industries, products and technologies and the most important achievements to date. It also illustrates the evolution of green industries in China, as well as accomplishments in terms of clean energy, energy resources management, environmental protection, low-emissions technologies, and recycling. China’s shift from a traditional economy to one focusing on careful resource management and an environmentally-aware society is gaining momentum. It is therefore essential that foreign industries participate in building a network that enables international exchange between local and international companies. This will foster the development of China’s green economy through international collaboration with leading businesses and also create new opportunities for advancement. The exposition provides a new opportunity for Thetis to promote and share its considerable experience in managing environmental projects, which was gained in the unique and delicate environment of the Venice Lagoon and can easily be applied to other regions of the world.
