Thetis will be at the ICRAM conference about the sea and environmental quality
Andrea Barbanti - Project Manager at Thetis’ Environmental and Civil Engineering Division - is to speak at the national conference organised by ICRAM (Institute for Scientific and Technological Research applied to the Sea): “The sea and environmental quality: research into the management of offshore platforms, beach feeding and reclamation work” to be held in Rome from 16th to 18th May 2005.
Andrea Barbanti will speak on the 17th May, the day dedicated to environmental research linked to the use of underwater sand for coastal feeding. He will present a report entitled “A. Barbanti, R. Chiarlo, P. Fornasiero - Monitoring the turbidity produced by dredging work: conventional approaches and innovative methods”. Mr. Barbanti will use a number of case studies to present the innovative research methods Thetis used to monitor the dredging work. Thetis has been proposed as a candidate to be included in the national guidelines, currently being edited, dealing with this topic.
