Works Management Assistant for the building sector: completion of training course at Thetis
The professional training course funded by the European Social Fund for “Works Management Assistant for the building sector” was completed on 14th October 2005, with students sitting their final examinations. The course, organised by Agfol, was aimed at the young unemployed holding either a diploma or degree, and lasted 884 hours. It proved to be a further useful opportunity for collaboration between Agfol and Thetis, the latter of which welcomed six course participants as trainees from July to October 2005.
All the students appreciated the opportunity Thetis offered, and expressed a positive judgement of the training course. The experience proved to be extremely useful, both as the students were able to put the theoretical scientific knowledge they had built up during the course into practice, and were able to learn both the difficult art of working with colleagues and superiors, and efficiently carrying out their duties and responsibilities. For its part, Thetis appreciated both the human and technical qualities of the trainees, offering each of them the opportunity to continue the work they had begun during the training period, laying the foundations for their professional development within the company.
