Spazio Thetis Hosts the "Bilateral Investments between the United States and Triveneto" Conference
The “Bilateral Investments Between the United States and Triveneto” conference, sponsored by Thetis, ExxonMobil, UPS, Casinò di Venezia, Veneto Sviluppo and Cappelletto Studio Legale, will be held at 14:30 in the Venice Arsenal on Friday, 26 September, at the premises of Thetis, an engineering company that integrates systems for the development of projects, products and innovative technologies for sustainable development.
Bilateral USA - Triveneto Investments: an opportunity for regional, social and business development. Important figures from the political world, institutions and local and international businesses will focus on this topic during a daylong event dedicated to the development and internationalization of businesses in the Triveneto region (Northeast Italy). The most recent statistical data regarding the flow of investments between the Triveneto region and the United States shows that this high-productivity region is among the preferred investment destinations for US investors. In fact, approximately 25% of all foreign investments in Italy are in the Triveneto region, compared to 15% in the Northwest (excluding Lombardy), 15% in the Centre and 11% in the South (including the islands). In terms of volume of investments in the United States, Veneto ranks third, after Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna.
The conference, which is divided into two parts, will deal with topics relating to the macro-economic aspects of bilateral relationships, as well as the distinctive features of the bilateral relationships forming the foundations of the economic relationships. The second part of the conference will explore the investment transactions in further detail, with presentations by large industries that have made significant investments in Italy, and in the Triveneto region in particular, including ExxonMobil and UPS, as well as presentations by various international and national players.
Conference participants will include: Umberto Paolucci, President of AmCham Italy; Ronald Spogli, US Ambassador to Italia; Renato Brunetta, Minister for Public Administration and Innovation; Giancarlo Galan, President of the Veneto Region ; Massimo Cacciari, Mayor of Venice, and many other figures from the business world and institutions.
During the event, it will also be possible to meet with representatives from several American states who will provide information to interested persons regarding investment opportunities and the various fiscal and legal regulations specific to their states.
