3 August, Spazio Thetis: Preview of Culture_Nature
29 July 2010 – On 3 August 2010, the finissage (closing party) of the Creativity and Sustainability exhibition at Spazio Thetis in the Venice Arsenal will provide a preview of some of the works that will be included in Culture_Nature, an important collateral event of the 12th International Architecture Exhibition - Venice Biennale.
In fact, four of the thirty works that comprise Creativity and Sustainability will be selected to represent the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in the upcoming Culture_Nature exhibition, which Spazio Thetis will host from 27 August to 21 November 2010. The common thread connecting the two exhibitions is the focus on environmental themes, an area that is of great interest to the engineering company Thetis.
The finissage on 3 August offers a final opportunity to view and experience the ensemble of works that comprise the Creativity and Sustainability exhibition, the fruit of the imagination of young artists who have successfully transformed discarded materials into creative compositions. The current exhibition’s guiding concept is creativity as a resource – using artistic inspiration to explain how the Earth can be saved, fostering a growing rapport between man and nature, and creating a synergistic dialogue that involves people, things, regions and educational institutions, with the objective of stimulating active participation in society.
