Music Architecture Culture

27 August 2010 – Philippe Daverio, Mario Botta, Alessandra Morra and Fortunato D’Amico, along with Antonio Paruzzolo, will be featured speakers at a discussion moderated by Alessandra Coppa entitled MUSICA ARCHITETTURA CULTURA (MUSIC ARCHITECTURE ART).

This event will retrace the “compositional design” of a contemporary concerto by Ezio Bosso, a talented musician and composer known for his soundtracks to films by Gabriele Salvatores, as well as other works.
The event, which will take place at 17:30 on 31 August at the Spazio Thetis Auditorium in the Venice Arsenal, will also serve to introduce the book Eso – Lo Spazio Architettonico della composizione musicale di Ezio Bosso. The second part of the evening will feature a live performance by Ezio Bosso, accompanied by violinist Giacomo Agazzini and cellist Relja Lukic.
The evening’s focus will be an exploration of the connection between music and architecture – the composition by Ezio Bosso that was transformed into an installation in Vienna’s cathedral, the Stephansdom, provides a clear example of this.
The activities on 31 August are part of the programme of CULTURE_NATURE green ethics – habitat – environment, a collateral event of the 12th International Architecture Exhibition – Venice Biennale that will be hosted by Spazio Thetis in the Venice Arsenal from 27 August to 21 November 2010.
