Sponsored by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea and organized by the Segno in Segno Association in collaboration with Spazio Thetis, the project is a cohesive exhibition that stimulates a dialogue on art and sustainable ecosystems.
Cavallarin, the curator, stated: "Round the Clock is a project that starts with two complementary and interrelated needs: the need for a continuous, relentless expansion of contemporary art in a manner that is always open to inquiry and question, and the need to change our lives by adopting a new humanism that incorporates greater awareness of the places in which we live and increased respect for the planet's energy and resources.”
The international artists involved express themselves with simple materials, including paper, cardboard, ashes, plastic, plexiglass, iron, stone, steel and fabric. The participants include: Francesco Bocchini, Ulrich Egger, Eva Jospin, Chiara Lecca, Serafino Maiorano, Gianni Moretti, Maria Elisabetta Novello, Svetlana Ostapovici, David Rickard, Antonio Riello, Matteo Sanna, Wilhelm Scheruebl, Silvia Vendramel, Devis Venturelli and Peter Welz.
The event is scheduled to open Wednesday, 1 June at 12:00.
