  • Thetis SpA will be at the 10th Italian Conference for ESRI Users

    The 10th Italian Conference for ESRI Users will be held in Rome, as always, at the Auditorium del Massimo, on the 18th and 19th April 2007. The conference will be organised in themed sessions and workshops, technological workshops and refresher courses.

    Matteo Ombrelli and Luca Dentone from the Territorial Information Systems Unit and Marco Zanetto from the Territorial Engineering Unit will be representing Thetis at the conference. The company will present two posters, one entitled "Study of the rocky outcrops in the North Adriatic Sea using 3D analysis of GIS (Geographical Information System) processing”, the other “Intelligent Transport System For Traffic Air Pollution”.

  • Celebration of Thetis’ ten years at Venice Arsenale - 3rd March 2007

    Ten years have passed since, following completion of architect Antonietta Grandesso’s degree thesis, Thetis moved to the Arsenale in Venice. The company has decided to celebrate and remember these ten important years, along with its employees, by organising a number of events to be held on Saturday, 3rd March 2007.
    The Ceremony itself will take place in the morning, at 10a.m., when Thetis and various areas of the Arsenale Nord will be opened up for those townspeople invited by the company and its employees.

  • Thetis in New Delhi to discuss sustainable traffic

    After China, India is the next country on Thetis’ list for developing commercial relations.
    On 14th February, Thetis took part in a workshop organised in New Delhi by the Indian Ministry of Urban Development together with the Italian Ministry of the Environment, within the sphere of an Italian – Indian cooperation. The aim of the Asian metropolis is to install the very best road safety and traffic control devices currently available on the world market in time for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
    Engineer Marino Mazzon, Manager of Thetis SpA’s Engineering Division for Intelligent Transport Systems, will illustrate some of the projects developed by the company to lower the pollution caused by vehicular traffic.

  • Thetis presented with certificate of “Excellence” at Confindustria’s head office in Rome

    Managing Director of Thetis SpA, Antonio Paruzzolo was presented with a certificate of “Excellence” at Confindustria’s head office in Rome on Monday, 29th January 2007. This important acknowledgement was presented by Confindustria Chairman, Mr Montezemolo, within the sphere of the “Confindustria Awards for Excellence”.

  • Thetis will be in Dubrovnik in April

    The second international "Waters in Protected Areas" conference will be held in Dubrovnik (Croatia) from 24th to 28th April 2007. Thetis will be at the event, and take part in those sessions dealing with the issue of safeguarding coastal areas, with a presentation entitled: "Integrated watershed management as a key tool for facing threats to coastal zones: the Venice Lagoon case study".
    Said presentation will illustrate the efficiency of the 2000 Management Plan as an instrument for protecting a vulnerable coastal area, characterised by integrated action on the entire basin.
