Thetis supplied an integrated system that includes real-time control of about 350 buses, real time passenger information feeds and display, electronic ticketing, video surveillance, passenger counting, barriers at gates and ticket management of three park & ride sites.
The technology is supported by comprehensive back office and central control system. As a part of the system, the control centre sends bus arrival information to around 100 electronic displays at bus terminals and bus stops, and deliver that information also through SMS.
Buses will also feature next stop displays and announcements to help those on board keep track of where they are on their journey.
The electronic ticketing system includes the supply of terminals for on-board ticket sales, on-board ticket validators, terminals for selling tickets and passes at authorized agencies, automated machines for off-board ticket sales.
