Thetis won a call for tenders held by UNDP/GEF (United Nations Development Programme and Global Environmental Facilities), which, together with the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, is financing the “Sustainable Transport Project for Egypt”, with the aim of reducing energy consumption and climate change emissions in the Egyptian transport sector, improve air quality in urban centres and organize the public transport system.
Specifically, Thetis provided a Variable Sign Message (VMS) system which has been successfully installed in Cairo city center to direct car drivers to vacant places in nearest multi-level parking areas. The VMS system includes 14 signs connected with 10 parking areas equipped with counting systems.
