Thetis has implemented the multi-modal public transport management system for the Venice area, including more than 150 boats (motorboats and ferries), 650 buses and 20 trams, integrating the first full-contactless ticketing system in Italy.
A main control center with 5 remote control stations monitor in real time waterborne and bus transport services.
The onboard systems include high end onboard computer, touchscreen driver terminal, interface with contactless ticketing system, interface with line indicator display, management of audio and visual information to the passengers, interface with video surveillance, passenger counting and other functions.
The control center includes also a unified passenger information system, which manages the displays and variable message signs installed at the main boarding places and at the bus stops in the mainland, and provide real time information through an open platform.
