The Study was performed in conformity with current legislation and consisted of an in-depth analysis of the environmental and socio-economic context of the area encompassing the entire Venice lagoon, the drainage basin and the adjacent sea.A specific impact analysis procedure was drawn up and applied, evaluating the impacts with respect to the current situation and in light of a hypothetical future increase in sea level.
The value of this Study was enhanced by a programme of regular meetings with a panel of international experts to receive feedback on the progress of work. This panel guaranteed the technical and procedural quality of the Study.
