The purpose of the project, which received project financing for the construction of the “Fusina Logistic Terminal” (Thetis is the lead company in the consortium of businesses named as “Promoter”), is to develop infrastructure in the ex-Alumix area that will accommodate national and international coastal traffic.For this purpose, Thetis, in cooperation with the Port Authority of Venice, performed a few activities in 2007 aimed at advancing the initiative’s procedural process, including the drafting of the Environmental Characterization of the Area Plan and the Screening Report for the Environmental Impact Assessment. Since the infrastructure connected to the national railway network and the main road network represents an innovative technological solution for port logistics in the Northern Adriatic, Thetis also organized the designing of various control systems required to monitor the traffic and flow of goods, which have the additional benefit of improving management and transport.
