Design, supply and maintenance of a GPS tracking system for 600 refuse collection and street cleaning vehicles operating in Milan and the Province of Milan.The system consists of on-board equipment, an operations centre and off-line service data analysis software.
The removable on-board equipment collects trip data and service information for transmission via GPRS to the operations centre at the end of operations. The off-line software correlates the actual routes taken with the programmed routes and manages information inputted during the shift.
The contract includes a five-year maintenance and technical assistance agreement and training of AMSA personnel.
