Thetis has developed an in-house project to organize and manage its own corporate knowledge.The objectives of the project are:
- to support the company’s existing processes and performances;
- to support the creation of new performance drivers;
- to create new sources of value generation;
- to share knowledge generated from corporate business processes;
- to encourage integrated collaboration and communication.
Three project phases were specified that can be summarized as follows:
1. company-specific interventions that have the dual objective of identifying roles and responsibilities for the entire development process and formalizing the processes and procedures;
2. human resources interventions that have the objective of creating a culture suitable for collaborating, communicating, sharing and learning;
3. interventions relating to technological structure that have the objective of preparing a company portal (intranet) based on the needs that arise while the project is in progress, in the spirit of the Enterprise 2.0 concept. This approach reflects the ongoing revolution in networks, where users do not merely utilize the content created by others but also generate their own information and knowledge and thereby interact with the rest of the corporate community.
