Support Services to the Works Management of the works of Conservation of Venice and its lagoon realised by the New Venice Consortium.The service provides for more than 60 building sites, including monitoring the execution of work; carrying out measurements and topographical surveys; book-keeping and accounting registers; quality control of materials and hand-manufactured articles, and logistical support to the works Management.
The operations to which the service extends include:
- high water defence;
- operations to strengthen the coastal areas;
- recovery of the lagoon morphology;
- halting and reversing the environmental deterioration of the lagoon.
