Study, analysis and design of an intelligent public transport system for the 2010 Expo in Shanghai.The activities include:
- analysis of needs and identification of requirements by collecting existing information, including the classification of transport lines and traffic flows, and the identification of technologies employed in the sector's best practices, selecting those that most closely correspond to Shanghai’s needs;
- definition and preliminary design for the system (facilities, hardware and software, processes and related development plans).
The objective of the proposed system is to assist the City of Shanghai in preparing for an internationally important event, improving traffic safety and the management of emergencies through control and monitoring. The proposed system includes:
- integrated service scheduling system and supervision in real time;
- procedure for supervision management, based on the Agency for Mobility concept;
- training for large events management.
