Expansion of the public transport management system developed in the ITS-TAP project to manage the 34 Olympics bus lines.The services include:
- design of hardware and software systems;
- construction of the BPT control room, with a video wall and 30 work stations;
- construction of peripheral operations centres for Beijing’s 11 bus companies, managed by BPT;
- creation of ad hoc supplementary functionalities for service scheduling, real time management and accounting;
- localization of the software into Chinese;
- integration of almost 2,000 on-board systems installed on the Olympics lines;
- training and assistance with defining procedures and system management. Note: The IBOCS project was realized through a temporary association of companies composed of Thetis (mandatary) and ATAC, in collaboration with Digital China, as part of a Chinese-Italian initiative for environmental protection in China by the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea.
