Feasibility study, project drafting, technical assistance and drafting of the tender proposal for the realization of a VTMIS (Vessel Traffic Management Information System) for the Port of Rijeka in Croatia.The VTMIS system is one of the planned activities in the project financed by the World Bank for improving navigation safety in Rijeka Bay and the surrounding area. The designed system can increase the port structures’ efficiency of use and reduce the risk of accidents and their environmental consequences.
The system includes a high sensitivity radar unit, remote control cameras, an AIS base station and an operations centre located in the port authority’s control room.
