THETIS AT THE EVENT “IPA ADRIATIC SHAPE PROJECT – MARITIME SPATIAL PLANNING AND INTEGRATED COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT – DISCUSSING METHODOLOGIES”

progetto ipa evento 19 giugnoVeneto Region is organising the event “IPA Adriatic Shape project – Maritime Spatial Planning and Integrated Coastal Zone Management – discussing methodologies” that will be held in Venice on Thursday June 19, 2014. The event will aim to illustrate main results of the Shape project (Shaping an Holistic Approach to Protect the Adriatic Environment between coast and sea); within the project Thetis provided its competences and technical-scientific services to the Veneto Region, in particular about the implementation of Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) and Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) at the Adriatic basin level. Emiliano Ramieri from Thetis will present main Shape outcome, including the “Methodological Handbook on Maritime Spatial Planning in the Adriatic Sea” developed within the project. Moreover, the event aims to promote common actions on MSP and ICZM to be included in the next community programme and to discuss their possible future evolution.
