Workshop on Co-existence and Synergies in Marine Spatial Planning

muses_reduced3The ICES Working Group “Marine Planning and Coastal Zone Management”, with support of the Horizon2020 Project MUSES (Multi-Use in European Seas) and Marine Scotland, organizes a workshop (4-6 April 2018, Edinburgh) aiming to explore, discuss and promote coexistence and synergies in marine spatial planning. As coordinator of MUSES WP3 on case studies on multi-use of the sea space, Thetis will contribute to the workshop discussion and expected outcome. In particular, Emiliano Ramieri will present the results of the case study implemented in the Northern Adriatic Sea (Italy) which explored the role of tourism in driving multi-use combinations with other key maritime sectors of the area (fishery, aquaculture, environmental protection and valorization of underwater cultural heritage).
