As part of the study "Study on trends and outlook of marine pollution from ships, maritime traffic and offshore activities in the Mediterranean" on behalf of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Center (REMPEC). Thetis carried out specialized technical analysis of the marine offshore and maritime transport in the Mediterranean.
In particular, the activities concerned the analysis of the available documentation and data provided by the client and the production of descriptive, summary and commentary texts of the sources consulted, concerning the following topics:
- analysis of the state and evolution of offshore maritime activities and maritime traffic, as well as related incidental events, in the Mediterranean Sea;
- preparation of synthesis documents that allow the inclusion of results in the context of documents being processed by the REMPEC center, in support of processes within the Barcelona Convention.
