Working with nature and enhancing the role of ecosystems can increase resilience to climate change and deliver multiple benefits, as underlined by the new EEA report ‘Nature-based solutions in Europe: policies, knowledge and practices for climate change adaptation’ and disaster risk reduction. The EEA report provides up-to-date information to policymakers on how to apply nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction while making use of the multiple societal benefits these solutions can bring. The report was developed by an international team of experts, coordinated by Sergio Castellari of the European Environment Agency and Emiliano Ramieri of Thetis as a member of the European Topic Center on Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation (ETC / CCA).
