Today, with the “release” of the first floodgate, the maintenance works of the mobile barriers (Mose System) that protect Venice and its lagoon from the high waters have begun. The operation lasted about 14 hours. The gate was then transported to the industrial area of Porto Marghera for control interventions and cleaning. In this way it will be possible to verify the structural state of the entire work, gradually checking all 78 floodgates. Present in this important activity also the technicians of Thetis who, with their different professionalism, have followed all the operations planned.
