Thetis, as a partner of Telecom Italia the main Italian telecommunications company, provides eBUS software on board the buses which operate throughout the bus network of Emilia-Romagna Region, within the project for the Integrated passenger information services at regional level.
Specifically, the Automatic Vehicle Monitoring system for the cities of Bologna, Ferrara, Piacenza, Reggio-Emilia and Parma is based on Thetis onboard solution. The onboard system includes bus localization, real-time service monitoring, voice and data communication with the local control centers (TETRA and 3G), interface with the ticketing system, interface with line indicator display, management of audio and visual information to the passengers, video surveillance and other functions.
